Are you only an online store?

No! We are an actual bookstore located at 2192 Green Valley Lane in Mount Crawford, Virginia, and are open Tuesday through Saturday from 8 am-5 pm. We have two buildings that are packed full of substantially more books and items than we have online. People come from near and far to see all the amazing merchandise we have to offer. We hope you make a trip to see us soon!

How do I find out if you are open due to weather?

If we decide to open late or close due to inclement weather, we will put a notice on the top of our website, as well as post on our Facebook page. We also will be listed on the WHSV website under their “closings and delays” section.

What are your Holiday Hours?

We are closed every Sunday and Monday, which includes holidays that happen to fall on Sundays or Mondays. We are also closed Thanksgiving Thursday; however, we are open for Black Friday! We will close at 5 pm on December 16, 2023 and remain closed until January 2, 2024 so our employees can enjoy the holidays with their families.

How do I create an account? 

Once you are on our website, go to the Account tab. Here you can create an account simply by entering your email address. A link to set a new password will be sent to your email address. Your personal data will be used to support your experience throughout this website, to manage access to your account, and for other purposes described in our privacy policy. 

How do I update my account? 

Once you have signed in to your account, you can go to the Account Details tab to update your name, email, and password. Use the Address tab to update your shipping address and billing address. The Payment Method tab allows you to store credit card information for even easier checkout, and can be updated at any time. 

How do I view my new or past orders? 

Sign in to your account on our website and go to the Orders tab. Here you will be able to view your order number(s), the date the order was placed, the status of your order, and the payment amount.

How do I place an order? 

Browse our website. When you find something you want to purchase, add it to your cart. When you are finished shopping, go to the Proceed to Checkout tab under the cart. Add your billing and shipping information and select local pickup or your shipping option. Finally, add your payment information and click on Place Order. Signing in to your account will make this process even easier by having most of the information already in place! 

How do I track my order? 

If you have created an account, sign in and go to the Orders tab. Click on the order you want to track. Here you will find the tracking number for your order. This is also sent to you by email when the order is shipped. If you have any questions, please give us a call at (540) 434-0309 or email us at info@gobookfair.com. 

How do I order items I saw on your Facebook or Instagram page that I do not see on your website? 

We add new items to our social media pages almost daily, and there is a chance we will not have an item on our website before you see it and want it! Just go to our Facebook Order Form and type in the item you wish you purchase, and we will be happy to grab it for you. We will call you for all the information needed from there.  

I’m not seeing a particular item that I’m looking for on your website or social media. Does that mean you don’t have it? 
We have tons of items in stock, so there’s a chance we have a product that isn’t featured on our website or social media. Inquiries for specific items can be made by emailing info@GoBookFair.com, calling us at (540) 434-0309, or using our Facebook Order Form.  

How do I cancel an order? 

If you have placed an order and decided to cancel, just give us a call at (540) 434-0309. We will help you cancel all or part of your order. 

How do I pay for my order with a Green Valley Book Fair Gift Card? 

After adding the items you wish to purchase to your cart, go to the Checkout page. Select the Gift Card option for payment. Gift card purchases are processed manually. We will call you to process your order over the phone. If you have any questions, please call us at (540) 434-0309. 

Will all books shipped match the cover image on the website? 

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the book covers of the titles ordered will be the exact same as the website images. In a rare case, the actual cover for a book might not match the one in the display picture. Please be assured these are still top-quality books and the content will still be the same as described. 

How can I place an order with a purchase order? 

If you are part of a school or organization that has used a purchase order with us before, you are good to go. If you are unsure, or know you have not used one with us before, please call us at (540) 434-0309. We will be happy to walk you through the process. 

Why is there a mark on the bottom pages of the book I ordered? 

Our inventory is comprised of publishers’ excess books, which are all unread and guaranteed to be in great condition. Most books are discreetly marked with a small line or dot on the edge of the pages to signify their discount market status. This mark ensures that the books will not be returned to the publisher for a second credit, and it translates into big savings for you. You may find that some books have no mark on the edge, but most of them do.
